Currently I am doing what you have done with your air filter intakes.

Once I have done that the engine can go back in.

Sucking air from outside the engine bay should make a difference.

The last dyno work I did I monitored it all.

Ambient was 26 c, yet as you progressed through the power run the intake air at the filters hit over 40 c.
Turbo discharge temp increased temp by an even higher percentage.
The intercooler was good enough to get it back down to normal so actual air intake looked o.k.

However the chain (filter intake to cooler) shows a big problem that will hold the turbo's back & loose efficency.

That's why I am attacking my car with the grinder & going to suck in my air from the bottom of the bumper.

Yes, this is sometimes to think about and the best way is to put the air intake below the bumper behind the headlights, because there is plenty of room for the filter and the engine room of the heat is not there.
The box around the air cleaner I have to be even better. Sand accumulates in there quite a lot.
I have to clean them several times.
I hope that you understood that what I'm trying to tell you.

Your english is fine mate I understand & agree.

A basic mistake by a lot of people & tuners.

The turbo sucks in hot air that is already expanded so low in density, when it compresses it the air gets even hotter then the cooler does it job.

You may get good intake temps after the cooler but the turbo compressor will be struggling & will not be able to match it's expected compressor map as the intake air temp is way beyond the STD for the map.

Most but not all maps are based on around 20 degree C intake temp.

= big pressure loss, bad efficiency, low power outputs & disappointment!

Setback yesterday. The radiator is leaking end = poor welding thank you "techWeld" soldering experiment. Fix it now, tig welding.
In addition, interior cools the leak. It needs to be replaced, now I put the u-tube hoses that go between the inside. =)
Opel TRW1 electro-hydraulic power steering pump worked fine.
TRW sound electric forklift  ;D

Sounds an easy job to fix for man of your talents.

The steering is noisy, don't you think it will annoy you after a few miles?

Yep, I am the actual Bob the Builder  ;D
I drive a few hundred meters and the power steering is no sound anymore, because the engine as a powerful voice to win.

FoMoCo Track Day Ahvenisto weekend behind. Settling in driving the motor. All worked perfectly. Smiles are not run out yet. I like that myself engine. Torque and power is sufficient.

It has risen from the dead. I make 1.0mm x 0,6mm groove in block and i put in steel wire there. Normal head gasket up.
First I made tool what I did manage to block the grooves.

Simple head lift you can see water has entered the cylinders & cleaned your pistons up nicely!

earlier groove block and cu rings and the masses, now assembly Navaline with loose steel rings,  three nails and masses, but i dont no why go wrong. But maybe this road is right.

By looking at the picture you see there is not much meat where the gasket failed that looks like a weak spot the 12v engines as Dave knows always suffers due to the poor head designs and low clamping forces !

* Inlet/outlet 3"/2"
* Features wet float bearings
* 1/8 NPT oil inlet
* 5 bolt standard(.58) downpipe flange
* T3 flange Oil cooled
* Compressor wheel: .50A/R, Inducer: 2", Exducer 3"
* Turbine wheel: .63A/R, Inducer: 2.58", Exducer: 2.2"
Made in China  ;D
And fuel is 98 octane with 5% etanol (Used to pump gasoline in Finland)
