Hi All,

I'm Nick from Daventry and I have a slight Ford addiction spanning back the last 30 years, lol.

I've mostly been Saff Cossie biased toy wise, however, my current project (moneypit) is an A reg Black XR4i.

It got it last year as a completely standard car, I have added remote central locking, electric windows, 300mm front brakes, 16" Azev A alloy wheels and a Sapphire Dash and A pillar trims.

I intend to make it the XR4i that I would've designed had I been in charge of Ford design back in the 80's.

Future plans include a LSD diff with vented rear discs and sorting out the interior with some nice supportive Recaro's.

Last thing will be to either turbocharge the Cologne, or fit a Cosworth BOA / MT75 conversion.

I'm also keeping all of the standard parts should I ever want to convert the car back to standard tho thats highly unlikely.

Hi Ade,

thanks for the welcome,

right, here goes.

These are pics of the car as I bought her

The dash was the most cracked one I have ever seen. I decided to fit a Sapphire dash and A pillar plastics due to cost/availability.
I am being helped in my latest project by my youngest son Harry.

I then turned my attention to the headlights,
they looked really grubby,

so I stripped, cleaned and painted where necessary until they looked like this,

The last thing I have pictures of so far is how she looks on her new Azev A alloys,

;D
