Hi team new to the forum, and to be honest I am really here to collect info for the 2nd build, as the first was for a rally car that was different ie we just used a Long Block and aftermarket ECU, custom oil pickup, extractors, intake. 

Also looking for parts either OE or Aftermarket because even though the Sierra was sold NZ New, Ford NZ is not really good at finding parts, or even knowing the Difference between models.

So Hello and I will more than likely be asking a few questions.

now for some more background.

what is in the Garage;
1965 MK1 Cortina 4 Door resto.
1969 Mk1 Escort rally car - Pinto 2 litre.
1969 Mk1 Capri Essex V6 race car.
1974 Capri Essex V6 Auto project car - ie Rover V8 + W58 gearbox ... yes yes its not a ford engine....
1990 Sierra XR4x4i rally car - BOA + LINK ECU.
1990 Sierra XR4x4i Road car project MT75 gearbox.

and other cars..
Stag manual.
V8 Home built.
TVR 3000M.

1974 Capri Essex V6 Auto project car - ie Rover V8 + W58 gearbox ... yes yes its not a ford engine....

More of those please 

Trow the rover engine in the bin and source a ford v8 with fuel injection. I had a capri mk1 with a rover engine and a w58 gearbox, it was rubbish and expensive to rebuild and to get decent power out of it.

We got alot of the parts free, ie engine, bell housing, and mounts.  including the car was cheap too.. but hey its a time thing now.  I was looking at a 302 Winnie, but its not my decision in the end.
