Hello all, Thomas here from Belgium. I've been reading a lot on this site the last few months and thought I'd introduce before I get deleted lol.
I recently built an mkIII Capri and got a donor Sierra 2.0i pinto, that engine is in it at the moment. It got mot'd a while back and was a blast to drive! I then decided to put the 300mm discs on, so also gave my 16" rims to a coater as the standard 13" ones don't fit anymore. Been waiting for a month an a half now with the car on axle stands dammit!!!
But it'll be worth it I guess..

The reason I've been on here a lot recently is because half a year ago I stripped a 24v Scorpio and have recently bought a diesel MT75 box and a V6 casing and have been doing research for some little things ☺.
So questions will follow most likely..

As for the mt75, Buy a 2.9 v6 one and just swap the 5e gear from the diesel.

Thanks! I've been looking for some time for a 2.9 rwd one but it seems they're getting rare even over here so I got me this lot



Now I only have to find that deep socket tool to get them apart! Or make one.. allready have a 2.8 flywheel and 2.3 mounts to hang it in there.

Oh and this is how it sits in my driveway at the moment, not sure yet about the color! Signal green or dark grey anthracite..


Just ordered some u-bolts to put in the single leaf springs and a full polyurethane set too

I would go for dark grey anthracite and to finish it of I would use the capri mk2 chrome bumpers and glass moldings and some cool wheels. (And get rid of the antenna) But that's my opinion.

I would really love the green but it's a bit too flashy, that's mainly what is keeping me off.. I'll probably go for the grey yes, it's a stealthy but verrrry cool color! Gonna keep the bumpers and wheels black though as they're more my taste 😉. (Bumpers are modified mkIII ones, made thinner and smaller and rims are needed for the 300mm brakes))
