hi
if you go with the t5 gearbox i dont known which bellhousing you have but there is another option is to go with the mustang 4.0 liter bellhousing the year is 2005 to 2010 if my memory is correct but tha one you will have to go hydraulique but everything will almost be a bolt on merry christmas and happy new year

brigro007
hello
I am currently looking for the best way to couple the box to the engine I do not have a  bellhousing.
I pass on a hydraulic stop
but there is another option is to go with the mustang 4.0 liter bellhousing the year is from 2005 to 2010 if my memory is correct
would you have a link?

If thats a original 2.8I i would not dream about it to swap the 2.8 engine for something else.  A original 2.8I capri are very rare now and therefore they are going up in price fast. A good or restored one is a easy 15k and up now. And give it a few years they will only go up and up.

But of course its your capri and its not up to me to tell you what to do. But i do give you my opinion.

yes there are some 24v capri's out there for high prices but almost none sells.

Hello
I understand your point of view before changing my capri I look for one to spare but frankly pay a 2.0 or 2.3 to the limit of the wreck 3000 € no paper no thank you I continue to watch but the people his crazy.

capri v8 driver

There are still capri's out there for a reasonble prices. But finding one very cheap those days are over. You could try oudo ebay or mobile.de.

The oldtimer market is crazy at the moment.

a being superior to can be heard your call !!! I will see a 2.3 not complete with his papers.
The crate not  corrosion, the price remains questionable following that I take with the car it is a 2000 € to debate!
I will go there next Saturday

capri v8 driver

For a asking price of 2000 you could take that risk. :2tu:

Even if you would stop with the project you still could sell the 2.3 capri for the same price as you bought it and sell the remaining parts. So financialy you dont have a big risk and if you do finish the project its worth more $$$$. ;D ;D And you still have a unmolested original capri 2.8I to witch is also $$$ :2tu: ;D ;D

;D ;D

Hello
here it is a 1.6 of 1978 completely dismount but complete very healthy case I will look for the next weedend because I have to organize myself.
500km anyway but I buy it 600 € !! with his gray card

capri v8 driver

600 is no money if the case is healthy and its complete. To realize your plans its good that its disassembled.

Hello
I put this week to advantage for information on the car and organized the transport next Saturday.
The xpack kit is coming this week
view that I keep my 2.8 I must find a suspension kit front and rear adjustable as these
https://www.tickover.co.uk/shop/contents/en-uk/p1799.html
ideas or find them?

capri v8 driver

I think those struts are overkill and are manly used for track duty.

I made my coil over on the old struts myself with coil over and springs from rallydesign. I also added some GAZ shocks and the rubbere roller tops. For street and track it worked very well. I think for the front suspension you would benefit more from a A arm or a double wishbone contruction with a seperarte stabilazor insteed of the original arm/stabilazor contrucstion.

For the rear i would go for a 3 link suspension or a independed suspension.

I did not take too much work she was injured back and the affected spar replaced the floor, the tunnel box, the pavilion, etc.
sniff I go back in my research

gabriel

Hello
I give news always hunting a capri I can be found my good a 1.6 not badly changed for 2000 € but very healthy case.
I will not fail to forward

capri v8 driver

It doesn't look to bad. As long if the body is healthy it could be a good start for your project.

according to the right seller of corrosion at the rear fenders.
the rest is without corrosion.
I am waiting for more detail photos of the damaged areas.
and make an appointment to go see, and maybe come back with the car

gabriel

Hello
I will have to put my project aside I have a professional opportunity that has just presented itself.
I will considerably expand my business I put all this in the hot case to follow

capri v8 driver

Your business and earning money is more important.

Havening this said last week a insurance expert did a taxation of my capri v8 and I could not believe what there estimate was. He concluded that cars like a capri in a good or perfect condition even if its modified only go up in prices.

If you are really planning to do this project I would buy a decent capri now and store it till you are ready to start the project.
