Well spotted mate  ;D  ; as I said in an earlier post it was a 4x4 rear end I got for it and yep it is 3 door roll bar. If you look I welded brackets on the arms in the 3 door location as I decided to not weld or mess about with the shell. I think a adrenaline or similar will be on the future shopping (wish) list lol.(as well as a decent diff  :'()

Ok it's been a while, I haven't done much  but this thread is so far behind I will add a bit more  ;D

Got all the rear end in.

Got a new fuel tank and painted it up and fitted a new fuel sender I got off e bay, a gen Ford one for a 2.3 ghia with the warning light. Had to solder up the fuel pipes as it was for a carb equipped sierra. Also fitted a stainless tank strap as the old one was a bit mankey.

Cleaned up the wheel arch areas and stone guarded them and Re Painted them black. Then Wax oiled any joints cavity's in side the rails etc

Then got a set of camber shims off Bettison on fsoc as the camber was a bit of a joke

Got hold of some new wheel bearings off GGR and fitted them to the carriers for rear vented discs  I got off Matt on here that he kindly blasted clean, top man.
Fitted the new rear bearing carriers and had a look to see how close it puts the hocks to the arch  :P The shims may need a bit of machining to put a bit more camber back in.

But have kept and I still like the stock 3 door rims so they will clear easy.

Cheers Ade

Hi Gerry, Cheers for that mate, I will try to get this thread a bit more up to where the car is now over the next few weeks. And no I haven't yet  :'( it really is close though and then it will need the breathers and header tank sorting and the cold air feeds etc.

Have you had any spare time for yours yet?

Cheers Ade

Yep I'm interested too I think they will need a bit of work with machining to get it right as it looks like the toe is out and a bit more camber may be needed :-by eye lol

Ok, bit of a jump but I really wanted to say a big thanks to Turboshed (Graham) for being a star, I owe you one  ;) and starting the new engine with me (cheers Mikey) and working some magic on the Emerald K6.
I will fill in some more on how I got here on the build soon.

Then down to Esso.

Un eventful first mile or two it feels really solid  ;D, the car is booked and going to spec r soon for the header tank and separator, breather and turbo hangars and a front strut brace. Also a big thanks to Fordpower and all those who have given input and advise to help me get this far you all know who you are  ;)

and with a flash

Still a way to go but I feel a big mile stone has been passed now. It lives !

what kind of horsepower is it expected to make with that setup though?  ;D

robrs2

22psi, you may need a bigger dump valve lol.

Seen it a few times, but i would re-route the filters, with rvs tubing to a cooler spot, like under the front wings. But thats just me thinking again

Cheers mate, me either  ;) it's in hand but like I said it's no where near finished, I have fitted the 500 grills and these ducts are fitted ready for the air filters to go under the inner wings. But the temporary header tank has blocked the route for now.

This will mean a mod to these holes and I want to make sure it is worth cutting the shell before I do.

These are the pipes I have to get to the filters

At the mo they are almost directly under the bonnet vents so they should be ok for now. If it's not enough power it won't be staying in long.

Cheers Ade
