MK3 Escort 2.9 Cosworth RWD

heres the storey.
decided to do a practical project for my course im doing at the moment so being into my escorts decided to go for it. Using a Scorpio floor pan i went about making the mk3 escort rwd.

the engine im using is the 2.9v6 boa cosworth,
type 9 gear box,
getting a full roll cage installed and hopefully some paint onto it soon


this is what i started out with so first step was to start removing the floor from the Scorpio






next step was to remove the excess on both pieces after measurements from the escort floor and a bit of imagination where it came to lining up with the new shell







next step i done was brace up the shell of the ford escort by making custom mounts for the front slam pannel and welding the stands to the outside of the sills and bolting them to the floor.



with the floor marked out for the removal i removed the rear section of the floor pan of the escort just front of the rear seat from there i measure back to where the floor pan was to end up.
