hi all , back to the drawing board i think , was changing my electric fan to a double cosworth one , ran up for temp check and to change oil , noticed large oil slick under neath ,this has let me down think im gonna have to get ally blocks machined and threaded then welded on as threads on original just pulled though (too shallow) i think

That's not original adaptor but something homemade. By the looks of it the surface isn't flat or straight to make a decent seal.  It looks like the threats of the connector did not went deep enough and it was only holding by 2 or 3 threats. To make it seal you have to tighten it pretty hard. It is only a matter of time before the threats gets stripped. Be glad it happened in your garage and you spotted it on time. Not while driving.

These adaptor for the oil coolers or oil filter relocation are cheap, I would just buy one.

Search for a Universal Perma-Cool Bolt-On Oil Filter Adapter # PC195

Those are very cheap.

i did before i bought a mocal reloction kit but it just would not fit  this was the best way at the time to get the thing working that actually fitted between the engine , exhaust and front diff.

Maybe this will give you more clearance than you have now:

Its a mogal adaptor but now with 2 banjo fittings. You can see how tight this setup is. Only thing you need is 2 AN fittings and 2 banjo fittings.

This also could be a option:

Option 1 would be the cheapest. Option 2 would be a nice solution.

That looks better, more thread to engage.  I would feel inclined to use Dowty seals rather than the fibre ones, they'll probably seal better.
