Sierra coilover spring rate suggestions

I'm after some suggestions for spring rate and length for coilovers on my xr4x4 24v(BOA) please, ie what are you using and what for?

For now im keeping the arb and the rubber top mounts,its not a daily drive it will probably be mostly road with occasional track use.

I like a good firm ride but the roads round here can be very poor in places and I don't want to crack the windscreen or my spine if I cant dodge a bad pothole.

You will not crack the screen. I have 650lb front and 450lb rears for track use only. Although that seems hard its not to bad. Standard coilovers for road are about 320lb front and 250lb rear.

I don't suppose you know the weight difference between a boa and a 2.9 12v?

I have searched but cant find anything usefull or definite

I'll be interested to hear that too, I tried to track down the weights for them the other day, and came up with 3 different figures for the BOA!

A 24v BOA is 205KG with out flywheel there a post under 24v engine section , hope this helps .

thanks I looked before and never found it

so I looked more, still can only find guestimates not much better for the 12v either
best guess so far is 12v 160ish kg 24v 220ish kg

I was wondering what ride height you guys are running at ? can I get a few measurements from the center of the alloy engine crossmember to the road please
4b v6s only especially if you consider it lowered but sensible

There is a measurement but cant find the manual. Rear beam to floor and front cross member to floor.

but I bet 90mm on the crossmember is not enough

I've fitted Avo coilovers to my 24v XR4x4. Haven't set it up yet. you'll need to take a sledgehammer to the rear inner arch where the shock is mounted or the spring will get stuck.
