Minker did me proud today!

Just like to say thanks to me car as it did me proud today.
Lots of people saying how well it goes  

Did 9 runs down my local quarter mile today (Sunday) & only got beat the once by a proper drag strip car.

Modded cars out-paced include a Scooby, 2x Civic type R's, Skyline & a Supra just  
Murdered some right Kevs too    

Was working on some transmission mods & other stuff  

Great day & actually met a couple of people who know what a Minker is.  

O.K I was lucky what I went up against but 8 out 9 is still 8 out of 9.

Will do a little vid on this soon & a Shakespeare Raceway little guide thingy in the show/event section.

Good Job,    but what were your actual 1/4 mile times?

Time wise it was a slow day as I was told that alot of cars the day before had broke gearboxes etc on the start so they made it slippy.
Even the Minker was wheel spinning off the line  

My best time was 13.266, worst was 13.627 which was in the top part of the field.

Std Skylines, Supra's, EVO's & Scoobys where doing low 14 - 15's
4 high powered Skylines where doing low 10's
A nice MK1 YB powered Escort doing low 11's
A MG Rover tuned to fxxx just on the verge of braking into the 9's
Fastest I saw was a high 8.

There was a couple of new V8 Mustangs doing low 14 runs that sounded fab.

I reckon the Minker can break into the 12's in the right conditions & if I use better fuel so I can turn the boost up abit. Oh & take me sub & spare wheel out

Gray even on five & the smoke screen that you leave behind at the moment I reckon you would have loved beating this one guy.

He reckoned his Skyline was packing 500bhp & had just had a £3000 engine rebuild.
Yes it was a nice car & yes it had a nice shiny engine bay but 500bhp it was not.

I beat him by almost a full second, should have seen his face, priceless      
& he looked at my car like it was a load of crap   Very enjoyable that
