cheap 24v ecu

has anybody got a cheap 24v ecu?in birmingham so iwill be going back to aldershot to try and get the car started again.might not be the ecu but dont want to go all the way down there to find out it is.
tony (MOB) said he will test mine but still to arange time/date.any help much appreciated.

I'm based in Essex J30/31 of the M25 and I have a spare....

how far away from aldershot mate? how much you want for it.whats the code on it?cant remember mine but its not baby.does it matter?

If you're coming from North to South you're coming past my door literally as I'm right by the Dartford crossing (unless you're bypassing the M25). Not sure of the code on it - it's in the garage at my Grandads place. From memory it's a later one (93/94) facelift for the last of the BOA's. I'm stuck indoors with a lung infection at the mo - when do you need it for? If it's the right one make me an offer. Not looking to take the piss - we tend to help eachother out on here!!

thinking of coming down in mid week.maybe next weekend.just so far to come if you know what im mean.want to get parts for possible problems with the car so its not a wasted journey.or im trying to get hold of a trailer and car with trailor!so i can get it back up here and stick it in storage.whats the going price for the ecu?

I bought it in a job lot of bits from a bloke at Cosworth Technology in Northants going the Megasquirt route. I suppose £15 is reasonable thinking what I paid for the entire lot of bits. I'll get it from my Grandads at the weekend and get the code from it for you.

Just phoned Grandad up and he says the ECU in my "job lot box" has LIFE on it if that means anything to anyone???

Never heard of a LIFE on a Granada 24V..

Knowing my luck its not a 24v ECU then - seemed a bargain - maybe a lesson learned - if something seems unbelievably good value then look deeper. Its probably a bloody Mondeo one.

M8 Ifyou still in need of 1, I have 1 here in the garage for the 24v boa which you can use and if it works we'll talk price. I'm just off J25 (enfield) if you wanna use it and see if its the fault.
