thanks for the encouragement .your right MOB they sound ace .had a bit of greif with the mixture setting as one needle was set high in the dashpot  and the other was low but both mixture nuts where wound out the same amount!! .the su,s came off a triumph vitesse that had been maintained by a specialist who told my mate they were too worn to set up so he brought a new pair!!!! i havent the heart to tell him what was wrong with them but i will tell him he needs a new specialist. rob

Thats the spirit, its a real shame that some people treat classic car owners in this way just to get more money out of them and an even greater shame that knowledgable people such as yourself dont get the chance to help said classic owners out as much as they should be helped.
