ali 24v 4x4 van

Thought its about time i got some pics up!
this van started of as a saffron yellow 1.8D, slow and ..........slow!!
it has a sierra 4x4 inner wings, bulhead, and floorpan up to the rear of the front seats, the rear chassis legs from them van were removed and the H-section rear chassis legs from a sierra were were welded in!
it full seam welded for strength!

Was featured in Performance Ford July 2006 page 112 Highlander!!

It won best engine conversion at Performance Ford Thrash 2006 at Crail Raceway

was build over 2 years by myself (Ali)

its fitted with a 24v Cosworth
Focus Rs 330mm Discs and Brembo 4 pots
Koni Adjutables
braided lines
etc etc

has had thousands of hours and pounds put in to it!

future plans include supercharger, i want over 350bhp, 4x4 cosworth vented discs and calipers, skyline gearbox and a few other ideas i have!!

van with new wheels, Hit a kerb and bend a Rs 7 spoke! Gutted! 330 discs wouldn't fit behind RS 7 spokes, new wheels were bought with a Peugeot offset!

Cosworth Leather Recaros

Focus RS 330mm discs and Brembos

Van parked beside a van that looked the same as mine before i got my hands on it it!

ali 24v 4x4 van

never thought of adding them tony!

here they are
stage one

van was set up level and inner wings, lower bulkhead, floor removed from the rear of the seats forward

stage two

same section was measured and then trimed to size for fitting into van shell

stage three

section was fitted into van and fully seam welded on the inside and underneath

stage four

rear chassis legs were removed from van floor

stage five

sierra H section rear chassis removed from sierra

stage six

chassis legs fitted to van floor, they were then boxed in with 3mm plate

thats just the main points!
thats 6months work getting it to that stage!
and a few sleepless nights with arc eye!!

piston broke

anyone know where she is now! Gutted i sold it! why??????

Marty

Very nice!!! Shame the post office don't use em

IansSaph

Quoteanyone know where she is now! Gutted i sold it! why??????

i bet after all that work you'd proper had your fill of her! You always miss old cars, you forget the trouble they caused you and only remember the good bits. my mate and i have the 'old car syndrome' theroy, its very similar to 'previous girlfriend syndrome'. Get em back and wish you hadn't.

i saw it on Ebay, did you keep the buyer id? trace it that way.

Ian
