Heres my new project! its  a brand new ford focus bodyshell which is going to be fitted with Impreza turbo running gear!
I bought it as a unfinished project, the guy that had it before was into his rallying and was building it to replace his Mk1 escort
But a divorce meant he had to sell up!
the main subframe and swing arm points are already welded in.

Nice project, how much did you pay for it? just out of interest...and what price will you be looking to get for it? surely yours is gonna be a lot wider then the one your "aiming to look like this" still pretty cool how far have you got with it now?

Hey there Ali,

thats gona be ace mate, wish i'd won the lottery cuz that would definately be a nice addition to the garage.
LOVE IT.

buzznwood

Very nice seeing as ford couldn't be bothered to make a proper 4x4 focus. Not really allowed to legally do much with new cars over in California , but something like that would fall under the engine change rule .

Its hard to see from the photos but how much of the floor plan / firewall was chopped away to make room for the gearbox? The v8 conversion you can get over here only has to cut a small portion of the firewall away to make room for the bell housing, seeing as subaru has an audi like 4x4 gearbox with the half of it in the engine bay I would imagine only a small amount needed to be trimmed.

ali 24v 4x4 van

Cheers guys!
the car is now painted, rolling and 75% there! waiting fo the polycarbonate windows, adjustable strut tops etc
just wiring and plumbing to do now! hit a we problem with wiring 97/98 impreza engines have the key coded to the ecu, and of course i don't have a key

got a couple o guys interested in it when its done, ones wanting to rally it and is very keen on it! even with the msa rules changing sometime in the future about engine conversions hes still interested!! car is gonna be open to offers!

ali 24v 4x4 van
