[attachmentid=1521]I bought my 2.8 in the local pub for £150 (it has only had 2 owners from new ) it needed two wings one sill boot lid and bonett !it was stratos silver , but cause of panels fitted a paint job was needed , £500 later and it looks good two years later .
all was good until a 24v came up along and the rest is history !
out with the old!

in with the new!

its all going ok up to now !
ill let you know how things go , tony is on with my loom (electrics not my thing )

Sounds like your doing a cracking job. I'm looking at carrying out the same conversion as yourselft. Not too sure what to do with the battery, do I relocate it in the boot or sink it into the wing. Think it maybe alot of work to drop it into the wing! Whats the best way???

i am puttin battery in the boot , thought about cuttin wing then thought better of it ! hopein to put it DSR cutting the plastic trim away (near were the sticker with the paint colour is ) if i get it in this weekend i'll take some pics !

Its actually quite an easy job to put it into the wing, and saves having to have your loom and alternator cables lengthened, on the other hand will help with weight distribution a little bit.

[attachmentid=1713]not been on for a while , just to update , battery is now in the boot , got some 7 X 15 rs alloys on (not brookland ones but with a 25m spacer look ok   )have tided up engine bay a little ,and am in middle of fittin cossie 4X4 discs and 2WD cossie callipers to make it stop !
