Owain, wondered where you'd been mate. Good to see the lovely Saph again, it will be amazing with a 2.9 in it. Good luck with it, i'll read this with real interest.

Mainly in the pub, small amounts of time in the garage, with any luck i should have it done before the insurance is due

Hell, I would have just slapped it in and let it run..

Taps's conversion explains the 24v sump..

Still one of the sweatest looking sapps around, will be much improved with a real engine...

Rob, the nuber of times i've had to have work done on that twink i just can't afford to take the chance of havingto pull the engine out again, it needs crank seals anyway and whilst it's not in the car it's the ideal oppertunity for a "little work" so to say, and like ya say it's a clean car, so i need a clean engine, that and i've never taken one apart so i thought i'd have a go

been back round the garage today, with me uncle to have a quick look at the lump, took one of the big end caps off to see what they were like and much to my dissapointment the fucker was oval, so looks like i need a crank regrind, and a shite load of overtime to pay for it, looks like the twink could see another season in the car
