I thought i`d start a thread for my 4i which I bought recently.

I found this Xr4i on ebay about March 2007 which i won for £600 and only 20 minutes drive from where i live. The car was totally original apart from koni suspension and had just been Mot'd at the time so was quite chuffed.

The day i got it...

So first thing, remove engine from the 4i on the side of the road...

Engine out...

Next, start removing the donor engine...

My mate Mark, kindly offered a hand

I`m lazy, so off come the front, to make things easier

Its coming...

And its out...

Then dash out for my wiring...

Auto box removed and nearly ready to fit...

Engine in...

Managed to also get some nice 16" Mondy alloys aswell so they were fitted straight on

I am now currently putting it all back together and waiting for the engine loom, which MARK off here is modding for me (Cheers m8!), and also in the middle of building the exhaust.

Will keep you all updated as i go.....

Well, i thought it was time for a bit of an update. I havan`t really had alot of time or money to myself recently, so getting time to work on 4i is quite rare. But I have received the engine loom back now, and i`ve wired it up and now she runs. Have to say, happy man.

Yesterday, the main objective was remove all bits needed off the granada so the shell can be scrapped, as it is causing a bit of an eye sore now.  I am now going to use the granada steering rack with sierra track rod ends, the granada anti roll bar to accomadate the granada exhaust, and using the granada rear beam.

Few piccys to keep you going...

Will try and fit front anti roll bar and steering rack this week...
