Back in April i joined and duly posted in the newbies section saying hi and i was looking to buy a Cossie 24V, wll after alot of searching and broken leads i went and bought a .......Vauxhall!!   wait!!..wait!!! before you send off the trained Ford ninjas  (you have heard of them right?!..nasty bunch!  ) its is the calibra 24v V6 its a great car..and it would be a even better car if it was RWD...well at this point you must be thinking "very nice but this is for Fords you numpty! get on with it!" well my mate and myself have been thinking about a project to do, talk about mini   was ushered but as i hate them it was shot down! i wanted to do a Porcshe 924 but it was a no for the other side
a few days ago we went to a mate of mine who is a dealer in intresting cars and he mentioned that he had a 2.9 fourbie for sale... how much says I? £150 says the man with the rattail hanging form his beard..had a look round and inspite of the sils needing welding, front left and rear right binding, the right bank manifold blowing like a big ripe beanie fart and the tappets needing doing and a spider living in the engine bay, its ok...  Had a quick talk with mate we said we would have it!

we got the car home and armed with a small seletion of powertools ripped the whole of the inside out...where it shall stay out!!

seeing as Steve (the mate) has allways driven FWD cars and this will be my 3rd XR4x4 i have alot of teaching to give young Steve...his only 22!! aaawwwww!!!
We are thinking of a twin turbo conversion at somepoint in the future as well as the 24V as well but for now its a refresh job on the motor, induction kit and a SS system, Spax kit and some new bushes and a brake overhaul (cossie brakes perhaps?) some buckets and harnesses then we will be off to teach steve about oversteering in a 4x4!!!!
So expect future updates and the odd daft question here and there!!
