Erika is my other woman, we have been seeing each other for nearly 13 year. She's ben unwell for the last 7... But has been having surgery and other work which is comming to an end..

This photo is circa 1995, I had not been back to that street until 1 month ago when I took a nostalgic trip whilst on holiday in Kent..

Erika is a 1987 early Sapphire 1.8GL ( electric mirrors, CL but no electric windows ) I purchased her in 1994 28th Nov in london.

She did me good service up to 1999 and then my Brother in law used her for a year. We nearly got rid of her after that... But I did not have the heart..

So over the last 7 years... A lot has gone on! ( albeit slowly. )

Inner sills repaird
Mid sills repaird
Outer sills replaced
Floors patched
Rear chassis legs patched
Both rear arches inner/outer replaced
Wings replaced

That took about 5 years!!

Then I started converting the transmison tunnel to 4x4 ( I over did the cutting in hindsight )

That was finished shortly after christmas..

Now the last few months has been putting back together...

1993 xr4x4 loom
Konis
Goodrich hoses
1993 dash
24V engine with granny rad
Leather recaros..

Been sourcing bits for 7 years, finding them all is a problem!

I started repainting in galaxy blue

She's getting there bit by bit.

These were taken yesterday, the paint work looks a bit shoddy as it's just a covering to stop it rusting again!!

He's very slow!!!

And his leg are too short!!

TwinTurbo

Yeah getting there.....

I bought a cosworth 4x4 Stainless system yesterday, thinking It may be easier to modd than the one I already had.. But on collection I realised that the 4" system bore was going to be a struggle to match up..

I spend some more time looking at all the pipes I have and I think I have enugh bits to actually get that sorted.

I think a rear caliper or line is leaking though as there was a puddle of fluid under the rear..

She's now turned round so I can finish the bodywork on the passenger side.
