we can not thank tony and his crew enough for this forum, we can only imagin whats gone happen and what the outcome will be, when all that talent come's together and decide to build a proper ford.

on the end off this week or beginning next week, i hope to have the outside finished. i will place some pic's when the outside is finished.

but first i have to reorder some parts for the engine, gearbox and other parts for my other capri v8, because they got lost during shipping from the states. but at least, i have the conformation from the shipping company, that they will pay for the missing parts and the shipping cost this week. thats also a big relieve. but it will take 2 or 3 week's before the parts are here. if it does not get lost again that is.

the last pictures.

the capri v8 is back on the road and almost finished, but for now it has to stay this way, because off the swap to a v8, the capri needs to be approved again to make it legal, that will happen on nov 16e. after that it will be lowered, the airfilter will go true the inner fender for some fresh air, traction bar's and subframe connectors will be mounthed, bigger brake's and i need a lsd, that is really needed now. i need to be very carefull whit the trottle in the weth, i have wheel spin in almost every gear. and the interieur need some work.

but first the dutch "sva" test.

Paul, how do you get the E30 headlights into the capri brackets?

Cheers, Mark

hello mark.

i trimmed the plastic off the shell off the headlight, so you end up whit just a round shell, than it fits in the bracket. to make it fit on the bracket, leave 4mm off the plastic under the mounting off the lens, that way if you tighten the capri head lamp cover, the headlamp sits tight. to stop the headlight from turning in the bracket and to keep it horizontal, you can use one off the plastic ribs, and cut a groove into the bracket, where to plastic rib fall's into.

but if you are shopping on the junkyard, be aware, there are 2 different headlight's for the e30, one is big and long, the other one is small and short, this is the one you need. you can use the big one, but than you also need to trim both bracket's to make room for the head light.
