Pre-fluxed wire or gas shielding?

That's about 56 quid..   (Can't work out how to do a pound symbol with this keyboard).

The exchange rate is $1 = 0.56 pounds

Then there prob wouldnt be a lot in it then chris.

Chris

Yep, that's what I figured...

OK, need to explain to the wife that I need to spend some more money on the Sierra.

Maybe I will wait til next month...   $700 on the exhaust is enough for this month

Chris

, by way I use gas , argon/CO2 mix, you can get a far better weld over fluxed wire.

Chris

I agree on that...   When I get my gas, I get a bottle of 'steelmix'  it is Argon/CO2 and one other gas in a very small amount

Yep

Taps

Had a spare couple of hours today so took the dash out the Scorpio, lot of wires behind there

Then a trail fit in the 4i

Its a tight fit but a few little mods and it should be ok

Chris

While you have the 4i apart, do you have any plans to increase the 'tunnel' width to accept a 4x4 gearbox, just in case you have some evil idea later on? I figured, you might as well do it now and not later.....

Taps

Not really Chris, due to the difference in wheel sizes i cant go 4x4 with this one, as for Evil ideas   saving them for my current 4i which i've already 4x4'd and is coming off the road to be doctored more when this ones done.

Chris

Can't wait to see what those evil ideas are

You've turned me once, but for the next darkside yours would be at least 2 cylinders short

Chris

Finally getting near the end of the welding, back ends now all finished

Left to do, passengers bottom door seal flange, drivers windscreen piller, was a few small rust spots and on cleaning them up was worse then it looked so screens come out and they will be cut out and new welded in, weld the front wings on and thats it for the welding.

Tony

is that all the welding done then? are we now up to body kit fitting?

like the badges!

tony

the 24v xr4i auto-0 to 60 in 6.71 secs

nick

Taps

Weldings done, cut the rust out the screen pillars and repaired

re routed the sun roof drains go they come out into the front wing instead of into the sills

Now playing with the Kit
