Now while all this was happening i was hoping to have my Gearbox rebuilt as mines didn't like going for 1st -2nd at very high revs, but then i seen a new one on ebay that was as close to a brand new box as i was gonna get so i bought that .( oh its soo clean)

I decided to give my rocker covers a quick paint while they were off the car.

They are black now.

Now while i waited for some gaskets to arrive i set to work on the rear suspension. I bought some nice camber correction plates as the washers i was using kept making the bolts back off which wasn't great and i also had a set of AVO coilovers(Kindly donated by FAST FORD) to fit so i set to it.

In this pic you can see my washer set up and the proper plates

Old suspension off

New stuff on  :D

I got one side done and then my Gaskets turned up so i set about rebuilding the engine

This is how i ended up last night , after work 2nite i need to fit the fuel rail with the vectra V6 injectors.

are the camber correction plates readily available or some thing you've had made?

I assume they are to correct the camber after lowering to aid road holding or are they a drifting addition to prevent you going in a straight line?

I got them of a chap on FSOC they were about £30 they are for kit cars. it is to correct the camber after lowering so i gain extra grip for higher speed drifting! once you get upto 60mph+ more grip is a must!

Reminds me i need to get my wing done.

You may need to change the springs. I found the standard AVO rates were too low. I think they were 220lb rear and 320lb front. Fitted 320lb rear (the old fronts but need a 2" helper) and 500lb front.

can you meassure them for me, (thick end and thin end,) and your ride height. they look a lot easier than my adjustable rear arm project!

Cheers Ian
