i had a 2000e a couple of years ago, my brother originally bought it from an ICE company it used to be their demo vehicle. that had been Dynomatted every where. it was the quitest most 'soild feeling sierra i've ever been in. So i bought it off him.

Well worth it, However on boot floors i alway feel like it looks like its been used to cover up damage or horrors...

A lot of the sound from the speakers goes backwards and makes the outer door skin resonate, best place for the Dynamat is on the inside of the outer skin.  This will make the car quieter (less panel drumming) and tighten up the sound from the speakers.  Putting the mat on the inner skin will probably trap more of the speaker sound in the door, making the door skin drum even more.  Might sound OK from the inside but will sound like a chavved up Nova from the outside.
Drive it like you mean it!

Proper Stoneguard on the door skin is easier to apply and when done in nice coats has the right rubbery effect needed.

Cheaper also.

ermmm i thought most of the sound came forewards thats why the speakers are mounted the way they are cause if most of the sound comes from the back then everybody would be mounting the speakers with the magnets facing into the car

and spoke to some ice installers an they suggested doin it this way and later on maybe double skinning the doors?

Nice rims except for multi-stud. That lets them down a bit imo.
And I have to agree with JFB tech. On a car it's the outer door skin resonating that makes it sound tinny. The inner skin is far more rigid, so no real point in dynomatting that. Being a musician for over 14 years I like to think I know about acoustic dynamics.

well they only had them in that fitment so thats whats on the car

an yeah the outer skin will resonate a bit but if the inner skin is so stiff why do all the pro's and dynamat them selves make pieces to fit behind the speaker on the INNER panel
and fair enough your a musician but car acoustic's are completely different to halls and studio's

dynamat stops the resonating full stop so it doent go to the outer door skin

and if you both look again their arent any speakers in the back doors!
its just to stop the road noise a little

Yeah, most of the sound is directed from the front of the speaker but there is still quite a lot from the back.  Also the vibrations from the speaker itself will transmit through the steel inner skin out into the outer skin, causing it to drum.  Then again, some people like chavved up Novas.

so by dynamating the inner skin it will cancel any vibration from the speaker before it gets to the outer skin?
and im not aiming for the chavved up nova scheme!
