Escort mark 2 rs2000 x-pack engien rebuilt

the engien spec is

mahle pistons
new bearing big end and main bearings
crank has been balance
new gaskets in hole engien
head modifyed and skimmed
4 kg flywheel
new clutch
44 weber idf and orginal group 1 inlet manifold (there is 45 mm dellorto on it at the moment)
kent cams kits (fr32)
piper adjustabel alloy cam pulley
and all other  parts is also new
stainless bolts on engien

And the susouion have also bin rebulit the axel has a 75% ZF LSD and the orginale ratio (3,54)
its have group 1 calipers and dics














home made lowering block made them becorse  I dont think them you can buy fit they will

















it got koni insert in the front, and bilstein on the rear, all the gaskets in the engine and waterpump, oilpump is orginal ford parts most parts in the engien and the suspion has ben change, polybushes in the front and rear end.

Like the idea with the struts. I have converted mine to 2 1/4" coilovers.
Are they 44idf's?

A mate of mine has a Group 1 special order road car. Every thing fitted apart from the arch kit bottom of page here http://www.cosworthrsspares.co.uk/photos.html]http://www.cosworthrsspares.co.uk/photos.html It may look in poor condition under the bonnet but that is all wax oil, under the waxoil its like new,

thanks for the comment on the stuts. i think it looks more orginal in this way and still is adjustibal. but on my mark 1 i will also have 2 1/4" coilovers then it is finish


no the cabs is 45 mm dellorto. becoruse the 44idfs need a rebulid and good cleaning before they goes on it, so the 45 mm dellorto is only tempery sow it can be driven in the garge there it will stand ontil summer.

yours mates Group 1 special order road car looks to be in good shabe. did he buy it from new? or buyed it used .

He bought it second hand in 2006 and paied over £10,000 for it. It was ordered by a trackday company as a new car. Then trackdays were not as big as they are now and the company when bankrupt and the car was sold on in to private hands.
It just sits in a carcoon now and has been there for the last 4 years

nice car!! Not sure about the paint on the dizzy sprocket though that could cause problems? I would be afraid of the paint melting and throwing the belt.

I never had problems with paint on spocket. i have a fiesta XR2 where also have paintet sprocket and has bin driving in it fore  3 year with out problems.  but the rs2000 just got a thery thin layer of paint on it and it can hold to heat. but thansk for yours concern   hope you can understand what iam writeing, not good at enchlis
