Right this is how to post a picture.

Open up a reply window or a new post window.

You will notice an area to type your post opens but below this there is an "Additional options" link.
Click on it & you will notice the hided options will display.

There you will see Attach:, click on browse & search for your picture.
For example I selected the_stig.jpg

Once you select the picture it will appear in the box next to the browse button.

Next to the browse button you have the [Insert Attachment] option. This will insert the picture where the cursor is in the text window so you can insert a picture in the middle of text etc.

If you simply "save" or "post" (whichever screen your on) the attached picture will appear at the end of the text.

If you wish to add more than one picture select (more attachments) & another browse box will appear.

The attachment can also be a file.

Allowed file types are: doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, zip
The maximum attachment size can be: 1024 KB per post.
A maximum of 25 attachments per post.

You can also use specialist picture sites that you simply link to.
As these all vary instruction wise you will have to look at their help pages for info.

I used Imgur.

If you do use Imgur a small tutorial.

Hit the image button in the tool section. Copy the direct link between the {img] [/img] and add h.jpg

Direct link: http://imgur.com/MDSoCRr

With the addition: http://imgur.com/MDSoCRrh.jpg

The h is for the size and .jpg is to make it visible as a picture.

DO NOT USE PHOTO BUCKET TO HOST PICTURES.

We have always advised on here to use photo bucket to host pictures & link to them to cut down on storage costs etc.

However this last month photo bucket have decided to stop 3rd party hosting as a free service & to charge for it.

What this means is the thousands of pictures I have on photo bucket can not now be seen in any of my posts making the guides etc almost useless.

Some may still work where I have not used photo bucket.

Basically photo bucket want 399.99 dollars a year to restore the pictures, no chance of that so they have gone. I am Sorry.
