Bought part done with (hopefully) all the expensive bits bought....we'll see!
Very solid, just a couple of small rot areas on cab floor.
Cavities appear to be covered in old sprayed wax, so maybe that is what saved it!
Working on wiring just now.
Jon. ;D

Sorry to have not replied, I didn't realise this topic was still active.
The truck was finished a couple of months ago, mot c/o no problem.
Still fettling a few ares including a much too low rear end!
I will post some more pics shortly and fully update you.
Cheers,
Jon. ;)

As promised, here are some pics of the truck.

I am pleased with the truck, it certainly brings a smile to my face.
The engine is a real gem, smooth and torquey but also a little bit cammy....the power really comes in higher up the rev range.
I modified the engine looms and integrated them into the body loom. Everything works including the VSS (no stalling at junctions!)
Unfortunately I do not have a working tacho yet, so am taking it easy so as to not over-rev it!
The gearbox is an MT75 hybrid I think with a 2.8 flywheel and clutch. Rad is 2.8 Sierra and fan is off a Volvo (scrappy special!).
Front struts are XR4i Konis.
Other things not quite right yet include:
Speedo inop due to driven gear chewed up due to incorrect driving gear (see another post about this).
Clutch bite very low. I did the pivot mod but did not make it adjustable!
Gear change is awful (MT75).
Gearbox out soon to sort the above things.
Rear too low (see pic). It has RS2000 springs and a Capri Limmo axle. I can't raise it by removing the lowering blocks as then the handbrake cable doesn't line up (see another post about this!).
I am going to make some longer rear shackles and see if this helps.
Few bits still missing like the fog light surrounds.
I have just bought, after a lengthy search, a load area mat in very good nick.
Interior is also not quite finished though a Sierra Ghia carpet has improved things!
Dash is Saphire Cosworth so has all the bulb warning display etc etc. This mostly works but needs a few wiring alterations to be perfect.
All in all, it's a hoot and wish I had more time to finish all the bits and drive it!
Thanks to everybody for their help and advice from time to time.
Jon. ;D
PS If anybody has a tacho to work with a BOA and an 8 tooth driving gear and 22 tooth driven gear for the MT75, please let me know! Thanks.

This happens with the pics every time I try and post them.
No matter what I do I only seem able to post 1 pic at a time, so here goes!
