I'm using 2.8 flywheel, 2.8  centre plate, cos pressure plate and 2.8 thrust bearing.

cos pressure plate is that sierra cos did u but 2 kits .Im using my 2.8 flywheel ill get new 2.8 kit cant I use complete sierra cos kit?...glyn

I got my pressure plate off ebay Glyn, I'm told if you use complete Cos clutch they can rattle and if you use the standard clutch they can Slip.

ops sorry wrong botton  is it a horrid unbearable rattle av u erd one..glyn...being a bit tight id end up buyng 2 types otherwise dont like e bay...glyn

well I got one head only resting on it looks good got 12 more valves to grind in on other head boring job.Im fitting new petrol tank tomorrow and axle cradle and see what else.Ill let u know what prices i get quoted for clutches.the'll probably be unipart cos were a car care centre were supposed to use all unipart but we dont...glyn

Thats no a welders mask aint got no splatter burns on it thats a wannabe's mask  

If ya had spent some of ya money on another jack in stead of that mask ya could have put the whole suspension with the diff already fitted up in one go

THATS ME MASK i keep om Tapsi no one will dare use it in work ,it has been there,the ones in work are well splattered,i'm saving for another jack..its a bit of a long story.I had 2 jacks i used to do me work in our old spray booth,new year last year it got broken into they nicked me other jack and used it to throw through window toughend glass and mesh but they squwezed in..the guy must av been small cos he had to go through bars.once in he couldnt get out cos all doors are well bared,he tried to set light to the office and went out through the small opening it was pissing with rain and his fire went out.....anyway the cops took me jack and i aint had it back,ive asked about 10 times and i recon theve sold it..whata u think of that...still no second jack...i'm gona start street buskin as i play the guitar better than me weldin...glyn

me diff is finaly in a couple of issues here started a thread on it ,the other question,do I use 4i shaft with lobro end for diff,or do i use grannie shaft with tripod end for hub side?..glyn..with 1 trolly jak and load of wood it never fell.

Progress a bit slow today,working on drive shafts and new bearings to rear,bit held up with shafts I've had to order new gaiters they'r starting to crack you can se in last pic I'll have them tomorrow a couple off more pics today  who knows tomorrow,hope to finish rear end..

thanks to all who replied about the grease sachets of new grease been repacked got the drive shafts on tonight back in work,painted new tank with gloss,used galvafroid for under coat on top ,tanke on tomorrow and ive fitted all new wheelbearings..glyn

Sat afternoon jobs  a hindsight for the inexperent changing rear wheel bearings,cleanliness is priority,remove old seals,knock out old bearing holder and clean al out.tap in new holders and pack with grease,dont overdo it,grease bearings these bieng tapered are not prepacked with grease then tap in seals  not a bad job for the amuture to have a go at.New fuel tank fitted,I want rear end finished by this eve..dont forget when doing the last seal to pack underneath to stop damage of first seal  completed backend all ready for wheels to go back on.Front end next...

Took the drivers side side skirts off today the main sill was good but around the rear wheel arch wanted a bit of work.Also fitted( temp) engine cross member and granny pwr stering rack

I,m pondering wether to paint the 4i's plastic side trims white someone sway me that way ,probably would av to use plastic primer first I got whit bumpers of the scrapped 4x4 i would like to use..help  glyn

Happy birthday Glyn! You same to be making progress now with the XR4i. I especially like the metal fabrication, this takes quite some skill.
