A other update, I could not leave you all hanging ;D ;D

first the front brakes, i replace the drum brakes for wilwood disk brake set.

After that i started to remove the old 8 inch axle, springs, drive shaft, old fuel & brake lines, master cylinder and started to scrape the under coating off to see if there is any rust. i was lucky, the beams are zink coated and except for some surface rust, the floor was in good shape.

trail fitting the new 5 leave springs and the 8.8 axle,

Now its time to start modifying the brackets for the wattt linkage.

after that it was time to bolt everything together,

My measuring, calculating and planning was spot on (well almost, i forgot about the drive shaft lenght) The next pictures shows how close the wheels fit now.

The only calculation that whent wrong was the drive shaft, it was 1 inch to long. So it needed to get shortend.

A other safety feature, a new E brake. The old one was under the dash and if you have the seatbelts on, you cant reach it. I changed that. now i can reach it. ;D

I also replace the old single system master cylinder for a cobra master cylinder, added a brake proportion valve, replace the front brake lines as well. With all this done, there is almost no orginal part on the underside of the car. Only the front spindle's are orginal, the rest is new. Just need to finisch and check some small items and i can drive again.

Next, watt linkage and the torque arm.
