I love it.

Capri's are getting so rare these days.

That 8.8 axle is a good start. It can handle a ton of power.

The axle and the interior was nice 😅
Lsd was like 1/4 of the price of the car 🤣

Other than that, it's a basic shape of Capri, in the form of rust.

Had a front end accident years ago, and one rear arch and both rear lower corners already replaced (which are rotten now)

50 year old cars come with there problems.

For my Capri I used a explorer 8.8 as it has 31 splines axles and a stronger LSD.

I understand. Sheet metal and bodywork is a lot of and time consuming work. In this stage of the work it would be a option to make/incorporate the mountings for a maybe future 4 link system so you don't have to do it when the car is finisht.

I still have leave springs under my Capri v8 and the 20M.

What engine and gearbox do you have in the V8 Capri?

A Ford based 427 dart block with Total Engine Airflow (TEA) CNC Ported 245cc Trickflow R Heads, a T56 6 speed and a 8.8 31 spline 3.73 rear end. N/A at the moment but the engine is build for boost.

And it still has leave springs in the back    But they can't handle it. So for the future I wil step up to a 3 or 4 link or IRS.

For now the car projects are on hold till i buy a house with preferred a garage or the space to build one. The land lord where i rented my garage has some big issues with the Insurance company so now I'm not allowed to work in the garage anymore and due age and health issues it will be a matter of time before he (or the children) will sell the place.

That sounds like a nice engine package  :2tu:

Oh, that's a shame about the garage :'(  I hope you find a new place.

Stroker

Working on a house with dual internal garage space and a small shop behind it. Last week i got a call from a friend. The house my parents rented after the house fire may be up for sale as the current people that live there want a house without stairs. So i called the owner that now lives in Australia and she confirmed that the house would be sold after the current people moved out. I told her i was serious interested in the house if the price is right and we could do a deal without a pricey housebroker ect. This would save her a lot of money and the time by coming back to the Netherlands. She agreed to this and now I'm number 1 for that house. Now it will be a waiting game. It can go fast or very slow depending how fast the current people find a other house. So fingers crossed.

The housing market is crazy here and there is hardly any offering of cheap housing. So this was a great tip from a friend. Now i have to be patient and i gone try to raise more own money to keep the mortgage low. This also means i have to sell my 20M

Looks like you have done most of the welding and you almost can start with the bodywork.  :2tu:  :2tu:
