Hi,

I need to clear a doubt about my harness.

That's what I have in my garage

A bob engine with its engine loom and a piece of the loom coming into the car.

Can you tell me if I have all the things needed to make it works its original Pats?

Can you tell me what was the job of the cut wires between the ECU and key reader? (Diag socket Maybe?)

The engine , sorry for the mess

That's what is in the Pats box (2 eprom one for the key signal? and one for the ECU sent message?? 3 transistors a quartz, lot of things)

And what is the orange box for?

Thanks

TNT

Anyone ? I am in almost the same situation and have the same questions.

Dave2302

Orange box not needed, haven't a clue what that does LOL.

You need to connect the Key reader to PATS Box as original, LED to PATS Box as original, 2 wires from PATS box to ECU (pins 15 and 16 I think from faded "old git" memory), then to diagnostic socket, and I think a permanent live and earth from memory.

You don't need to connect the other wires, some go to Scorpio CCM and Alarm which you don't need, there is one other wire which goes via start inhibit switch to Start relay earth on Scorpio, if you have an auto gearbox and or a starter relay either put a permanent earth to it or use the PATS wire if you wish to retain cranking inhibit  ;)

I have a wiring diagram, it is a bit sketchy, but simple enough, if you need it I'll email it to you both, if you PM me yr emails ;)

Sorry, I'm not being evasive, I'm just really busy right now  ;)

Cheers Dave

Somebody did tell me once, but I can't remember now, something totally unrelated to engine running / PATS though, that's why I didn't bother remembering what it's for LOL  ;)

That module is for the cruise control.
Orange is for an auto, blue for a manual.

Thanks Dave for the precision.

So I get rid of it!
I'm already equiped with built in cruise control...................my brain and my right foot  ;D

Hi all,

This is it!

There is the engine I worked on 2 years ago, the H5E gasoline engine.

I made some valve opening (and thus closing) law benchmark for improve engine response and  enhanced burned gas expelling.

There is a vids
