So I've decided to bite the bullet and get the old girl properly done up (thanks to ppi claim)
Trouble is I've no experience of getting spray jobs done . I've been calling firms for two weeks or more and so far managed to get two round for a solid quote . I could use some input from those of you who have had paint jobs done . The car needs New front wings , repairs to both rear arches not huge but not minor either and small repairs to the boot floor. And then a complete respray in original colour (smokestone) I have replacement bonnet and bumper etc and will do the majority of the stripping my first quote from https://autoperfection-mmx.com/ @ £3200 it's a bit more than I hoped to pay but not beyond the budget the guy was enthusiastic and spent well over An hour chatting with me and from what I see of reviews I think he will do a very good job  do you guys feel this sort of price us about right?
Additional just found out the price also covers reinforcing the drivers floor and painting the wheels

Maybe you should mention your location. Maybe there are people in your aria that know a painter that can do it cheaper.

Doing stuff like welding and prep work your self will reduce the cost.

Oops good point . I'm in Southampton that place I linked is 3 miles away , the price is for me doing most of the stripping of trim etc. I could do the welding but don't have the facility's and I really just want to get it done at least if I pay for it all there's some kind of guarantee

£3200
:o most of that sum is involved in getting prepared, which is the time consuming part.  It's a bit steep though. Try http://www.palingandmay.co.uk/  and http://mikepritchardmotors.co.uk/contact
