Hi. These BOA things are addictive, ain't they?!

Hi.
I'm Jake, and I've been bitten by the cossie bug. I impulsively bought a rusty, fairly knackered Capri with a BOA in it a few months ago, and then accidentally bought an XR4x4i with a tuned one in. And a bit of NOS on it. Oops.

Neither's worth much, the Capri is truly ratty (not "rat look", just knackered, and all kinds of rusty, although just the thought of it makes me grin like an idiot!) and although the Sierra is pretty mint, it was still very cheap. I only really bought it for the engine and NOS gear, intending to break it, but then i drove it... It might look all kinds of dad, but it's a-bloody-mazing! Now all I can really think about doing is putting the two together, and ending up with an uninspiring-looking, rusty sierra that handles as badly as a capri. No, wait, that's not right, I want a 4x4 NOS-injected capri! That's the one!

Anyway, enough blah, I look forward to learning from you lot, so thanks in advance!
Cheers.

Welcome.

It would be a cool project to see a capri with the 4x4 running gear and a cossie.

I'm fairly sure that it's been done few times, but it's a PITA to do, either major mods to the front sierra running gear, or just chopping out the capri's front inner wings, and grafting in the sierra's inner wings in their pace. It sounds like a long job, but if done well, it would be an absolutely awesome car. One day, eh!

If the capri has rotten floor panels and beams, i would use the complete floor from the sierra.

Its a escort mk2 , but it gives you a idea: http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread.php?t=190183

Have you been peering under my floorpan?!  ;D
That's really impressive, and would pretty much scrap all of the rusty stuff on the capri in one swift manoeuvre! Now all I need is someone down south to do it... And a bit more cash! Although I could probably save enough for the conversion in about 3 weeks, if I went back to driving my LPG astra van  :-X
It's so tempting that I'm actually going to phone them, to find out vaguely how much I'd have to scrape together!
