Well now the Minker is almost finished & I have done the other cars + some odd jobs that seem to all come at once that stop me doing what I want to do, I am finally ready to start this project.

The project is to build a 500bhp 24V TT Sierra xr4x4 using a Skyline gearbox, custom built suspension + brakes & alot of other one off stuff too.

To make this more of a challenge I have set myself a target of £5000 for the whole build but I think I can do it a fair bit cheaper than this as to get the parts I want I buy complete cars, nick the parts I want then sell on for a profit  

Most of the build will be detailed here but as I have teamed up with a few companies some of it I can not detail as it's development stuff.

Just about everything on the car will be improved, upgraded, tweaked & anything else I can think of.

Can it be done, how much will it cost, am I talking out my arse  

It all starts here soon.

dave, i would say youl come in just under ya budget, i know the engine will be amasing and will give the 500bhp (or more) and i am not going to comment on any thing i might know about that. :wink:

in short yes it can be done
and no ya not talking out ya arse!

just hurry up and do it

I forgot to add I am able to do just about everything myself except for some odds & sods that I prefer to leave to others who do it for living.

You would never be able to build a car like this for cheap money if you had to pay for the labour

would expect at least that for the engine alone!

Mikes part of this is the 4wd sump girdle, ceramic/teflon pistons, custom modded crank & a balanced 95mm bore bottom end.

Yeah £5000 for the complete car is what I reckon but as I mentioned before in true build it yourself project fashion it's all about wheeling & dealing which makes the final costs low.

I'd be satisfied to get only the engine done for 5 grand.. hehe.
